Anessa Collins

holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Public Relations and is a graduate of the University of Oregon. For more than ten years she has specialized in information technology consulting, assisting Public Sector organizations in effectively deploying software engineering solutions to address technology challenges, including: knowledge capture, content management, workflow, change management and marketing analysis. Her career has led her to work with some of the finest individuals in a wide range of disciplines, including finance, science and engineering, and military personnel. Her clients have included the Department of the Army, Department of Defense, Department of Energy and the second largest public sector retirement organization in the world, California Public Employees Retirement System. In addition to her consulting work, she has worked with a variety of Fortune 500 employers, including Automatic Data Processing and Unisys Corporations where she served in multiple roles from project inception to delivery completion.

Bruce MacAllister

Bruce MacAllister

holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Chemistry and Biology and a Juris Doctorate degree. He has been an attorney, ombudsman, corporate trainer, and organizational excellence and development consultant since 1979. In addition to his many years experience as a consultant, his career includes extensive work “in the trenches:” serving as a state agency general counsel, administrative law judge and arbitrator, employee relations director, corporate training director, mediation center director, in-house and contract ombudsman, and Vice President for Finance and Administration in a higher education institution. His work includes extensive organizational trouble-shooting, international business facilitations and mediations, extensive work with high-tech and defense-related organizations, and extensive work in dispute resolutions system design and administration. He has authored many articles and has a book nearing publication in the area of organizational conflict and workplace dynamics. He also has extensive experience in negotiating and mediating issues involving intellectual property and technology transfer, having worked with a variety of institutions including Los Alamos National Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratories, the University of California, British Nuclear Fuels, Ltd. and many other technology-oriented clients. Other major clients include the United States Department of Energy, the United States Department of Defense, the New Mexico State Legislature, and the Federal Office of Personnel Management.

David Markwardt

MFA, MSOD, is a proven organization development professional with extensive domestic and international experience. David has led hundreds of transformational change programs using models such as Playing to Win, Let Go, and the Changing Game for Fortune 500 companies including Intel, Interface Flooring, and Merck Pharmaceutical. His areas of expertise include experiential learning, leadership training, change management, and organization development. He has designed and implemented many leadership programs, including a high potential leadership program for Blue Cross and Blue Shield resulting in improved employee performance and defined career paths. Supported by the New Mexico Department of Health, he also developed a nine-month leadership training program for high potential behavioral health professionals. David received a Master of Fine Arts in Poetry degree from Vermont College in 1998 and a Master of Science in Organization Development degree from Pepperdine University in 2007. He received his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College in 1984. He is an experienced facilitator of the Myers- Briggs Type Instrument, Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument and the Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation-Behavior Assessment. He is a member of the American Society for Training and Development, the Association of Experiential Education, the Experiential Training and Development Alliance, and the Organization Development Network.

Monique McKay

holds a Diploma in Journalism, a Bachelors of Arts degree in French and History, an LL.B. (law) and is a candidate for a Masters in Law in Dispute Resolution (LL.M.) from Pepperdine University. She has served as a community mediator, trainer, and conflict resolution systems designer and policy consultant. She has done extensive research in the field of self-government for Aboriginal peoples in Canada and has a great deal of expertise in restorative justice and Aboriginal legal and governance issues. Monique has a wide range of experience working with Aboriginal and Canadian governments and organizations in regard to justice initiatives, education issues, self-government models and policy development related to self-government models and related issues for First Nations and Métis peoples, organizations and governments. In addition to her training and legal focus in the area of Aboriginal law and systems design, she has extensive experience in researching and developing policies and procedures for institutions in higher education. She has designed dispute resolution systems focusing on due process for faculty, staff, and students, with systems that emphasize informal conflict resolution mechanisms. Monique is the co-founder of the Master Mediator Institute (http://mastermediatorinstitute.org/MMI/about-mmi) and is currently working on a film on integrating restorative justice principles and traditional Aboriginal values to deliver community justice in partnership with First Voice Multimedia.

Manny Ovalle

holds a Knowledge Manager certification through the International Knowledge Management Institute. He advises businesses and government agencies on adopting successful strategies enabling them to accomplish their goals and addressing the unique challenges of the “Knowledge Age.” He is an expert at providing innovative, custom training to help organizations maximize their organizational intelligence with their collective knowledge and know-how to addresses the “brain drain” dilemma that many businesses. His unique training also increases understanding and communication among all levels of the organization and focuses on multiple generations and diverse cultures in the workplace. Manny is also a veteran ombudsman and mediator with 20 years of experience. He was a federal officer with the United States Secret Service for over 30 years. For almost half that time, he served as an organizational Ombudsman. As the manager of the Ombudsman Program and a mediator, his duties included providing mediation services for the USSS Equal Opportunity Program, facilitating internal divisional roadblocks, counseling employees in conflict resolution and mentoring new ombudsmen. He is a popular invited speaker, sharing his colorful and varied experience in mediation and conflict resolution for a variety of professional associations, including the International Ombudsman Association and the Secret Service Speakers Bureau as well as several community organizations.
