Lopez <\/i><\/b>served as the Laboratory Ombudsperson for Los Alamos National Laboratory and has extensive experience designing case tracking systems and data management dashboards for ombuds programs. \u00a0Camilla was the lead Assessor to ensure that the International Foundation for Online Responsibility operated to its design specifications and led the initiative to work with that organization to implement important remediation measures to ensure reliable responses to internet abuses. She has long and deep experience working internationally with higher education and non-profit organizations \u00a0as a consultant, and provides ombuds training and system review services.\u00a0 She has an outstanding background in system design and review and regularly assists Business Excellence Solutions in implementing new programs, providing ombuds training. She serves as the lead in system review design initiatives.<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Diana Mosonyi,<\/strong><\/em><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>is the Executive Director and Founder of the Hungarian Ombudsman Association. \u00a0Diana is an accomplished mediator, ombudsperson, and organizational consultant. She has worked in higher education ombudsman programs and leads initiatives to identify barriers to communication, trust, and productivity in the European corporate setting. She is an expert trainer in mediation, organizational effectiveness, and communication.<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Anamaris\u00a0Price Cousins<\/strong><\/em> has over 14 years\u2019 experience as Ombudsman and Manager working in the energy sector. She worked for a major international energy company where she\u00a0led an initiative to extend the the corporate ombudsman program to employees in South America. She was responsible for researching business practices and legal implications and then served as single point of contact for all Spanish and Portuguese speaking employees for the entire corporation. She has extensive experience working with employees to help them navigate \u00a0work-related concerns. \u00a0Anamaris is a recognize expert in policy and procedures interpretation, operational systems,\u00a0and identifying\u00a0patterns of systemic breakdown. Anamaris is recognized as a leader in the ombuds profession, serving\u00a0 two-terms as President for International Ombudsman Association and leading various initiatives for advancement and recognition of organizational ombudsman.<\/li>\n<li><b><i>Deborah Davis <\/i><\/b>managed the ombuds program for the Greater Albuquerque Association of REALTOR<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>. She has extensive experience working with REALTOR<sup>\u00ae <\/sup>associations in managing and developing their professional standards programs and practices and played a key role in implementing an Ombudsman Program for a residential association designed to respond to concerns related to real estate transactions in a more confidential, timely and effective manner.\u00a0 This program resulted in a dramatic reduction in complaint resolution time and significantly reduced formal ethics complaint filings within the association.<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Ramey Miller<\/strong><\/em><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>served as the Assistant Student Ombudsperson for the University for California, at its Santa Barbara campus. \u00a0She also served as the office manager for the University\u2019s Student Affairs Office. She has worked as a case manager for the Muskogee Creek Nation.\u00a0\u00a0Ramey is the founder and Life Coach at her company,\u00a0<em><strong>rundeep<\/strong><\/em>. Over the past seventeen years, in addition, she has worked as a Radio Show Host, a Payroll Administrator &amp; Quality Control Analyst, and a Program Assessor. The organizational assessment consists of:<\/p>\n<p>1. A comprehensive assessment of the overall organizational climate through the use of validated survey instruments designed to evaluate the organization\u2019s team environment, structural effectiveness, systems integrity, and individual styles compatibility.<\/p>\n<p>2. Individual interviews with members of the team. The interviews focused on the team member\u2019s assessment of three key areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the overall organizational climate; communications systems, trust levels, and other key factors;<\/li>\n<li>management style issues such as confidence in top management, and other key relationships and inter-team\/organization relationships and,<\/li>\n<li>the key project and planning challenges and issues facing the organization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>3. Systematic collection and processing of the information, which is then presented to the organization\u2019s members for their use in the subsequent planning sessions.<\/p>\n<p>4. A series of meetings and a planning session typically follows the organizational assessment. The findings of the assessment are debriefed with managers within the organization. The planning session is custom-designed to meet the needs of the organization, based on the results of the organizational assessment and the wishes of the manager chartering the assessment. Depending on the results of the assessment and what is revealed about the productivity issues, the working environment and the overall team climate, an intervention and planning session is designed to focus on corrective measures to respond to the issues identified. Typically, issues in role clarification, team communication, team-building, trust and rapport, systems and process engineering, or organizational structure and design, are identified and addressed. Additionally, we normally provide the organization with facilitated comprehensive near- to mid-term tactical business planning. Typically, the intervention and planning session(s) consists of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Setting meeting goals.<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing the information collected and processed during the organizational assessment and identifying action steps and planning measures, based on this information.<\/li>\n<li>Customized training and intervention activities in communication, trust, role clarification, or other issues, depending on the needs identified in the information collection stage.<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing or defining a vision for the organization.<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing and setting organizational values.<\/li>\n<li>Identifying and prioritizing current challenges and barriers to maximal productivity and developing specific business strategies to surmount these challenges and barriers.<\/li>\n<li>Building and enhancing trust and confidence among the management team throughout the process through fun and productive activities and exercises that culminate in highly relevant and tangible business-oriented results and project plans.<\/li>\n<li>Developing a concrete, tangible business plan or specific action planning designed to eliminate the current barriers and problems and to maximize the organization\u2019s effectiveness.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>5. Follow-up specific training programs and off-line interventions and mediations are typical. The Organizational Assessments and Business Planning process requires a firm commitment from the chartering manager to ensure that it remains an outcome oriented process as opposed to a morale event or retreat. Typically take approximately thirty days to complete all aspects of the process.
