I am 74, alone, and had a realtor break numerous code of ethics resulting in my losing my down payment of $45,000. I am in a bad situation financially and emotionally. I have reported him to Commissioner of New Mexico State Board of Realtors. He told me if I file with them, I would be unable to get back my money. Agreed it was a case that should be reported and punished. I need help.

Melody Mar serves as the ombuds and ethics program coordinator. You may wish to reach out to her. Her contact information can be on found on their website.
